Antonia immersed herself into the world of holistic healing in 1996 when she left her government career to pursue training in massage therapy and Ashtanga yoga. Through the hands-on experience as a Holistic Health Practitioner, she could feel how the body holds stress and tension in the muscles, causing chronic pain and loss of flexibility. She taught her clients how to incorporate yoga postures and breathing techniques into their busy daily lives. She received her teachers training from the Ashtanga Yoga Center in Washington DC in 2002 and has taken additional training from renown teachers David Swenson (Ashtanga), Ana Forest , and Gary Kraftsow (Viniyoga). VinyasaYoga is like a dance, and the rhythm is breath connected to movement. It is based in the Ashtanga method, using deep breathing (Ujjayi) to calm the mind and generate heat in the body, which allows the muscles to stretch and open. It is a great class to gain awareness, strength, and flexibility.
